RMA returned to the theatre in 2017 for its pre-CRC event, treating clients and their guests to a performance of The Bodyguard, the musical based on the 1992 movie of the same name.
The Toronto production of the The Bodyguard was staged at the elegant and historical Ed Mirvish theatre in the downtown core. When it was originally opened as The Pantages Theatre in 1920, it was one of Canada’s earliest motion picture houses and was the largest in the country at that time. Pre- and post-theatre receptions, featuring a variety of dishes in keeping with the theme of the show, were hosted just a short walk away at the Ontario Heritage Centre.
We would like to thank our clients who came from near and far for sharing this evening with us as well as for their continuous support throughout the year. We look forward to hosting you at our next Pre-CRC event in 2018 on April 18th.
RMA hosted its 2016 annual golf classic on September 14th, once again at The Country Club in Woodbridge, Ontario. Although the morning began under dark skies, the weather soon cleared to create perfect conditions for the 35 players enjoying the course that day.
The traditional awards ceremony following dinner honoured some new talents this year, including the Longest Putt and a Soccer Net Hole in One. Among the creative array of prizes were a Dash Cam, a Boxing Set and tickets to the latest production of Cirque du Soleil. This year’s top foursome was comprised of two representatives each from Nationwide Auto Warranty and The Profits Group.
We would like to thank all of our clients who attended our event and we look forward to hosting you again in the years to come.
Our 2017 golf event will be held on Wednesday, September 13th at The Country Club. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in attending.
For its 2016 pre-Canadian Reinsurance Conference event, RMA took clients “out to the ballgame”.
Our guests were invited to watch the Toronto Blue Jays, coming off their best season in more than 20 years, take on their division rivals, the New York Yankees, in their first home stand against them this season.
The Summit Lounge Skybox at the Rogers Centre in downtown Toronto offered a panoramic view of the playing field, while guests were able to enjoy dinner from the various food stations nearby.
Although the outcome for the Blue Jays was not very positive, we are pleased to announce that the outcome of our event certainly was. We’d like to thank all of our clients who attended our event and look forward to seeing you at our next CRC event on March 28, 2017.
ReFocus is an annual industry meeting which is jointly chaired by the Society of Actuaries and the American Council of Life Insurers. This year’s conference was held from March 6 to 9 at the Aria Resort and Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Over time, Refocus has established a reputation as one of the more influential Life industry gatherings and is attended by many leaders and decision makers in the insurance and finance industry. More than 600 delegates once again attended this event to listen to discussions on a broad range of subjects from retirement and longevity issues to strategies for better understanding the customer base and the underserved market.
The ReFocus meeting continues to be an effective networking venue for insurance and reinsurance practitioners to meet and to discuss business, and trending issues that impact the industry. Howard Bernstein and Douglas Lum were pleased to represent RMA at the 2016 forum.
RMA is pleased to be celebrating 20 years of providing insurance and reinsurance solutions to our clients all over the world. To mark this occasion, a staff event was held at The Ball Room in downtown Toronto on Thursday, January 14th. Each department contributed to an afternoon of presentations featuring RMA’s many highlights over the past 20 years, followed by a very entertaining, if not necessarily skilled, bowling competition. 1st Place went to the team of Paul Chiarvesio, Jean-Jacques Jako, Marvin Lei, Claire Myles and Thierry Tremiseaux.
We congratulate John, Claire and Jason on this achievement, and extend our thanks to them for their support and generosity over these past 20 years as well as those to come.
